ROBIN ROSS & THE MELODYNES shows us a good time with fun new ‘Spill No Mo Wine’ single

Pennsylvania’s Robin Ross & The Melodynes Robin Ross & The Melodynes deliver pure, high-spirited excitement with their new single ‘Spill No Mo Wine’, a genuinely fun-loving track born from a celebratory gathering on Lake Huron. This single is straight-up hi-vibing, capturing the energetic atmosphere of friendship and collective good times, mirroring a musical philosophy where the large collective of eight like-minded artists ensures their palpable fun seeps right into the grooves.

Drawing inspiration from a humorous mishap—a spilled glass of wine that became a metaphor for resilience—the song immediately puts the listener’s dancing feet in motion, thanks to its exciting blend of classic rock grit and modern pop sensibilities reminiscent of The B-52s. Anchoring their upcoming ‘Mind Space’ album, ‘Spill No Mo Wine’ is a vibrant, joyous anthem about picking yourself up, grabbing a refill, and finishing the riff, proving this band is all about embracing life’s delightful chaos with irresistible enthusiasm.

Frontman Robin Ross tells the story about its creation – “‘Spill No Mo Wine’ came to be on the shores of Lake Huron on the Bois Blanc Island in Michigan. There upon the bowling-ball-shaped rocks, wearing flip-flops, I composed this with a guitar in one hand and one big carafe-sized glass of wine in the other. I sat down, put the wine carefully on a rock and began playing, when this riff started. I took one more sip of wine, put it down and it fell off the rock, spilling the wine completely into the soppy sand. But the glass held firm and didn’t break. Deciding to finish the riff, I put it back on the rock and looked into it for inspiration. Then came the hook, chorus and a special break. In good spirit, I returned to the house for a refill and played the song for our friends. The song is about grit and how, sometimes, best laid plans can vanish in one quick moment.”

But, as occurs for many artists, life and business took him in a different direction. In 2021, with rekindled passion, Robin embarked on new projects, including both of the aforementioned projects.
