Danish duo Fake Mannequin returns with the single ‘Silverspoon’, released March 20 – a smooth and cinematic trip-hop track built around delicate guitars, warm basslines and Amy Horn’s soft, hypnotic vocal.
On their debut single ‘Same Tree’, the duo picked up attention from both Danish and international blogs and received airplay on P6 Beat’s programmes ‘Toner’ and ‘Debut’. With ‘Silverspoon’ they move further into a minimalist trip-hop landscape inspired by the aesthetics of the 90s, but with a contemporary electronic edge.
Lyrically, the song paints a portrait of an emotionally dangerous figure – someone whose charm and devotion slowly reveal a darker undercurrent of manipulation and control.
‘Silverspoon’ is the second single from Fake Mannequin’s upcoming debut album ‘Composed Reality’, which will be released in May 2026.
