With ‘Thirsty’, Loud Tiger dives into deeply personal territory. It’s a song about wanting something – or someone – so badly that you ignore all the warning signs. The mood is dusty and intimate, with twangy country guitars, slow-burning beats, and vocals that move between vulnerability and a romantic urge to follow desire, no matter the consequences.
“Thirsty is about the dilemma of being a hopeless romantic – someone who wants to keep believing in love, but keeps falling for people who have no intention of staying”, says Viktoria Siff, the woman behind Loud Tiger.
Uncompromising desert pop
The soundscape draws inspiration from American desert pop and artists like Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift at her darkest and most melancholic. The lyrics are raw and unfiltered, with lines like “Don’t have to do me dirty, da fuck” cutting through and setting the tone for a track that dares to be both honest and uncompromising.
From blog acclaim to national airplay – now comes ‘Thirsty’
In May, Loud Tiger introduced her upcoming third album with the single ‘Cactus’. The song drew attention both in Denmark and internationally – it was named Weekly Hit Tip on national radio station P4, playlisted on P5, and highlighted in GAFFA, Denmark’s leading music magazine. Outside of Denmark, ‘Cactus’ was featured by blogs such as Bored City, Fame Magazine, She Makes Music, Nordic Music Central, and Buzz Slayers.
With ‘Thirsty’, Loud Tiger continues her journey toward her upcoming third album, set for release later this year. The single was produced in collaboration with Jeppe Engelbrecht, Nanna Bottos, and Kristoffer Fuglsang.
