New single from acclaimed singer-songwriter and musician Tristan Tritt. His new track is a stunning cover of Tom Petty’s classic “Southern Accents”. Tristan shares, “Tom Petty has been a massive inspiration in my music career. For years I have been asked what “genre I fit into” and Tom was known for having this same issue, especially during the beginning of his career. I purposefully chose to cover “Southern Accents” due to it being the most Country within Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers discography. I wanted to show people my true heritage, so I found the perfect song to do it with. The song is full of nostalgia, as well as serene imagery of southern culture/ the American south. This is the first cover I have ever recorded, so if I can honor one of my favorite Artist/ Songwriters ever, as well as where I’ve come from, then I’ve done my job as a performer.”
Tristan Tritt has received praise from the likes of American Songwriter, Raised Rowdy and more. He has a large social media following and has recently supported Austin Meade.
In 2022, Tristan Tritt released his first batch of singles “Oblivion” and “Right On Time”, introducing his hard-hitting rock sound to the masses. His contemplation on the obsessiveness of social media with “No Filter”, led to praise from American Songwriter among others, while his 2024 single “Sick of It” has racked up nearly two hundred thousand plays.
Now, Tristan Tritt is entering a new chapter—a musical rebirth. “For years I had fully immersed myself in Alternative rock (Specifically from the 90’s), but there had always been something missing for me. I am a proud southerner and grew up listening to bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackberry Smoke, and now incredible, new talents, such as treaty, Oak, revival, Dexter and the Moon Rocks. I love their blend of rock and southern / Texas style, and wanted to start my 2025 journey by paying homage to the rebels of old and new.”
His 2025 single “Stop the Ride” is an autobiographical track chronicling the grind of chasing a dream- the repetitive hard work, the constant tug-of-war between doubt and determination, and the emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows. Melancholic soundscapes and country-western undertones culminate into an explosive, arena-worthy chorus.
The single “Wannabe” plays like both a love letter to his roots and a bold step into wider sonic territory. He shares, “the song came from an idea I had, while hearing about the parallels between the Cohen Bros. Classic “Oh Brother Were Art though” and Homer’s “odyssey”. I wanted to blend an honest discussion with myself about who I am and where I come from, while also sprinkling a bit of Greek mythology behind it. There is a very special place in my heart, in regards to the relationship between the Father and his Son, so Icarus came to mind.” Soaring guitar riffs, hypnotic rhythms and heightened melodies captures a timeless sense of longing and freedom.

Tristan Tritt’s music is a joyride through rock history, filtered through his own unique lens. “If time has taught me anything, it’s to be more comfortable in your own skin,” he reflects. “Don’t take yourself too seriously, but be serious about what makes you who you are. Music has always been my outlet. If I can inspire anyone, I hope it’s to find what makes them happy, and give everything to it.”
