After debuting with the heartfelt “Qué voy a hacer sin ti” and surprising this summer with her English single “BILY – Because I Love You So”, multicultural artist CARMEL returns with “Mariposa al Fuego”, a striking blend of flamenco tradition and contemporary pop that delivers a powerful message of self-awareness, self-love and resilience.
Inspired by the image of a butterfly irresistibly drawn to the flame, the song dives into the pull of destructive relationships and the struggle to break free from harmful cycles. Featuring the passionate flamenco guitar of José De María, alongside harp, classical strings, and Carmel’s emotive vocals, “Mariposa al Fuego” builds an atmosphere of tension, sensuality, and catharsis.
“We’ve all been that butterfly at some point—drawn to what we know will hurt us. This song is that mirror, but also an invitation to choose ourselves.” – Carmel
