Tampere, Finland — Finnish heavy metal band Crimson Day have released the official music video for “War Machine,” a track from the band’s album Dark Dimension, out now via Wormholedeath.
“War Machine is a musical nod to old-school heavy metal with a modern edge. Lyrically, it explores humanity’s drive to create ever more powerful war machines. In this case, it draws inspiration from the legendary fighter aircraft of World War II, while also referencing the Battlestar Galactica episode “Scar.” The video features authentic World War II footage that I found from various sources across the internet, showcasing aerial dogfights between the Allied and Axis forces, with a particular focus on battles between RAF and Luftwaffe pilots. Founded in 2013 in Tampere, Crimson Day has spent over a decade forging their own lane within the heavy metal landscape, blending the timeless power of classic heavy metal with a broad sweep of genre influences, wrapped in dark intensity, high-octane energy, and sharp, soaring melody.
