The Smoke Still Rises – Revisit French heavy stoner GOATFATHER’s Single “Night of the Blue Smoke”

Before their latest single “Stoner Dream” set speakers on fire, French heavy-stoner GOATFATHER unveiled the dark and atmospheric “Night of the Blue Smoke” — the first glimpse into their upcoming album ‘House of the Rising Smoke’ (out October 24th via Argonauta Records).

With its brooding riffs, heavy groove, and haunting energy, “Night of the Blue Smoke” showcased the band’s raw power and set the stage for what’s shaping up to be one of 2025’s most crushing heavy rock releases.

If you missed it, now’s the time to (re)experience the track that started the blaze:

For the record
Formed in Lyon, France, in 2014, GOATFATHER is a four-piece, high-voltage heavy stoner band blending stoner rock, southern rock, and heavy metal with crushing riffs and a raw, intoxicating energy. Their music channels a relentless quest for freedom, drawing inspiration from legends such as Orange Goblin, Corrosion of Conformity, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Black Sabbath, while forging a distinct voice that is simultaneously heavy and hypnotic.

Known for their electrifying live performances, GOATFATHER has played over 100 shows across France, including major festivals like SYLAK Open Air, and has supported international acts such as Crowbar and Stoned Jesus.

Following the critical success of Hipster Fister (2016) and Monster Truck (2021), GOATFATHER is set to release their third album, House of the Rising Smoke. Recorded at Warmaudio Studio (CELESTE, Cult of Occult) in January 2024, the album captures the band at their heaviest and most unrelenting yet finely crafted, promising another milestone in their rise as one of France’s most respected stoner acts.

Scheduled for release in October 2025 via the Italian imprint Argonauta Records, GOATFATHER continues to push boundaries, delivering music that combines riff-driven power with uncompromising spirit.
