Crazy musician from the Ariège plains, Pablo Nicoleau has made self-taught and serendipity his means of musical locomotion.

Gooey chorusing guitars, junk-shop synthesizers and faulty delay pedals inhabit his wobbly, smooth, yet very lively compositions.
These were stacked into two EPs: “slippery, isn’t it?” and “oh, concreteness” (available on bandcamp), before “roughwool’s dormer”, which closes this discreet and haunting musical loop.

Along with all this, Pablo contributes to the Zap trio (a kind of Baloche post-punk circus show), with Tibo Toucourt and Claude Delrieu; and forms with Elisa Tribouley the duo Bubblegum Corail, which explores the phosphorescences of the seabed with second-hand synthesizers.

“roughwool’s dormer” will be available as cassette via the BITUME label as well as on bandcamp and the streaming platforms from March 10, 2023 .

Recorded in a bedroom with what was there, “roughwool’s dormer” is an EP that just leaks, in every sense of the word.
Sort of like “Connan Mockasin gone through the mill of lo-fi”, the sounds we hear here are inhabited by something that seeks to come out.
Sighs, whispers and hummed melodies are what structure this EP; at least what wanted to escape from the head of its author.
Driven by a slow inertia, it overflows the genres to curl up where it can sneak in, in the ears for example.
