For more than just ocean lovers, Nomadic Narwhal takes a new path in sonic storytelling. With a cocktail of modern metal, underwater sound design, and cinematic drama; Nomadic takes you on a journey from the beaches to parts unknown. While keeping plenty of room open to interpretation, it is clear that this is not a guided tour. This is an oceanic odyssey shared between artist and listener.
Song Description: Monolith is a tale of destruction and beauty. One could only imagine, whether looking for it or not, being on a dive and coming across a Monolith. Something clearly man made that has been submerged for decades, totally coral-encrusted, and heavily eroded. Monolith begins with an eerie feel of being in an unknown environment that builds into a more fantastical feel as if you had made a mysterious discovery. The listener is then challenged to imagine, really, how something like that is now underwater with heavy riffing and rhythm. A destructive force had to have brought this world as it was underwater. A chaotic event involving the titanic force of mother nature. The track then shifts gears to more of an epic build signifying the natural thoughts to follow of mystique and wonder. Attempting to capture the excitement and significance of such an experience, Monolith ties multiple emotions into one moment before bringing the listener back to a brutal ending symbolizing a resurfacing with more than just a story to tell.
