Nille Nyc explores her fear of loss on Party for the Grown-ups

“When I was 26, I lost my father and grandfather within two days. Last year, I lost a close friend, and shortly after, my husband developed severe tinnitus. I became terrified of losing someone again, which led me to write Halfway, the final track on my new EP. With this release, I really want to encourage everyone to take care of each other and reach out before it’s too late. Life is short – even if that sounds like a cliché,” says Nille Nyc.

After making a late debut on the music scene, Nille Nyc has carved out a name for herself with her distinctive sound and authentic storytelling, which she now shares with a growing audience. With airplay on Nova FM, DR P3, and P4, as well as headlining shows under her belt, she continues to evolve her musical journey and deliver songs that speak directly to the listener.

Nille Nyc believes that life experience brings stories worth telling – and listening to. Party for the Grown-ups offers a glimpse into the thoughts about anxiety and mortality that can reside in a woman in her mid-forties, wrapped in captivating, nostalgic rhythms with an intimate vocal delivery.

Alongside the EP, Nille is releasing a nostalgic and heartwarming mini-video featuring beautiful elderly people dancing at their final ball in a festively decorated gymnasium.

Nille Nyc has produced the four tracks in collaboration with producer Christian Coer (#1 in China with three songs for KUN, Daniel Schulz, Lasse Skriver), and she has written all the lyrics herself.
