New Music Submission: pMad spills ‘Blood’

pMad has just released its brand new album ‘1 + 1 = -1‘ on Vinyl, CD, Download which is only available on Bandcamp.

Blood‘ is the 2nd single to be released from the album. Only the singles as they are released will be available on the streaming services.

pMad is the Post-Punk, Gothic Indie Rock solo project of Irish artist Paul Dillon, hailing from Portumna, Co. Galway. Inspired by acts such as The The, The Cure, Killing Joke, Echo & the Bunnymen, Rammstein, and Depeche Mode, pMad forges a dark, cinematic sound that flows between post-punk, darkwave, industrial rock, and metal-leaning intensity.

Created in 2021 during the silence and uncertainty of the Covid era, pMad quickly evolved from an introspective recording project into a globally recognised independent force. The project’s singles have topped indie charts across multiple countries, receiving airplay on hundreds of radio stations and earning praise for their emotional weight, atmospheric depth, and uncompromising identity.

Following the debut album Who Why Where What (2022) and the acclaimed follow-up I in Power (2023), pMad returns in 2026 with the bold, concept-driven album 1 + 1 = -1. Built around the idea that “you should believe none of what you see and very little of what you hear—unless you experience it yourself,” the album confronts distorted truths, internal conflict, global instability, and the personal battles we hide behind masks.

The lead single “Blood” signals a darker, heavier, and more urgent evolution in the pMad sound—an explosive blend of post-punk pulse and metal-infused aggression. The record features standout tracks such as “Feed,” “NewGod,” “Silent,” “NineFortyFive,” “Strangelove,” and the haunting “Salem,” along with the atmospheric bonus track “Circle” on CD/vinyl.

Lyrically, pMad explores survival, trauma, hope, and the weight of being human, while also confronting wider issues such as war, climate collapse, and the fractures within modern society. Critics have described pMad’s work as “tribal, intense, thought-provoking, and immersive,” with a sound that channels raw vulnerability through dark, gripping production.

As pMad continues to push the boundaries of post-punk and alternative rock, the project remains committed to authenticity—creating music that challenges, questions, and connects. With 1 + 1 = -1, pMad enters a new chapter: heavier, braver, and more vital than ever.
