MAGLY freezes time in a daring slow dance with life

The Danish singer leaves the past behind with irresistibly catchy country-poptimism on a new single that captures the magic of a moment where everything falls into place and old wounds begin to heal.

Following a striking debut in 2023 with radio favorites ‘Convenience’ and ‘I Don’t Feel Fine’, MAGLY quickly introduced herself as a songwriter with a voice both vulnerable and soulful – yet alive with irresistible energy. In a MAGLY song, optimism lies hidden within melodic melancholy, and the lyrics gently unearth the most intimate of emotions.

“I’ve written a love song – a positive one. But it comes from the fear of opening up to new, deep relationships. In the past, I’ve experienced just how overwhelming love can be, and how deeply it can hurt, leaving behind scars and wounds.”

So says MAGLY about ‘I Don’t Want Anything More’, a track that portrays the transformative encounter with someone who shifted her perspective – someone special who helped her unlock parts of life she had long neglected or been too afraid to embrace.

“I met someone who made me feel safe in his presence. Someone who allowed me to open up and who gave me renewed strength and belief in myself. I truly believe the people we meet are meant to bring something into our lives. That’s the story I want to tell with this song -about a moment where everything just feels right,” MAGLY says.

That moment is beautifully framed by a song whose organic, country-infused pop shimmer evokes the quiet brilliance of late-summer starlight. ‘I Don’t Want Anything More’ was co-written by MAGLY alongside acclaimed Danish hitmakers Celine Svanbäck, Laurits Emil Christiansen, and Jeppe London.

MAGLY is Ditte Bissenbacker. She played her first tentative chords on the piano in her childhood home on the island of Funen, Denmark and later attended the renowned Norwegian songwriting and music school, Limpi Music.

With the release of ‘I Don’t Want Anything More’, MAGLY ushers in a new musical chapter – more new music is on the way.
