Following the acclaimed debut of his self-titled EP, Swiss electronica/noise/synthwave artist JISEI — the solo project of Herod guitarist Bertrand Pot — returns with Retour vers No Future, a bold new collaborative EP now available on all major streaming platforms.
This release marks a striking evolution in JISEI’s sound, fusing raw electronic textures with the sharp lyricism of LabLase. The result is a genre-defying blend of synth-driven atmospheres and incisive cultural commentary.
The standout single “Metaverse,” accompanied by an official video, offers a compelling entry point into the EP’s layered sonic world.

For the record
In Japan, a jisei is a farewell poem written before a ritual suicide or certain death.
Bertrand Pot’s electronic/noise/synthwave project is a bit like that, what he would shout to the world if he had to leave with his head held high in a final burst of honor. A shrill cry, a dull anger and the promise of peace when the machines finally fall silent.
In its purest form, analog synthesizers come together to interpret the soundtrack of a post-apocalyptic film, supported by heady rhythms and layers of unhinged sound. EP to be released autumn 2024.
In his other incarnations, JISEI works with various other artists on different artistic collaborations ranging from rap to drone.
Various EPs and K7s to be released from 2025.
JISEI’s self-titled debut EP is also out now on vinyl and digital, and available for full streaming across all major platforms, including Bandcamp.
