Gloomy music video: Mikkel releases Timberlake-inspired ‘OCD’

The concept of the stunning music video is based on the circular nature of all existence – be it the orbit of the planets, the changing of the seasons, or the beating of the heart.

“When we compare ourselves to others, we often tend to think that our circle is unique. But we forget that even though we start from different places in the circle, we all end up in the same place,” Mikkel explains director Victor Andersen’s thoughts behind the magnificent visual experience the video leaves you with.

In the video, MIKKEL struggles with his inner demons and tries hard to escape the endlessness of the circle. It’s a cold, desolate and dark place that envelops and almost suffocates him – just like the OCD cycle tends to do to its victims.

Album in the pipeline
MIKKEL has previously released the singles ‘Flicker’, ‘Come From’ and ‘Hallway’, which have earned him publicity on the blog we love nordic and support shows for Lasse Skriver. Now he can reveal that, in addition to the new single, a debut album is on the way.

The record, which will be titled ‘Until We Rise Up’ and is set to land on June 14, was created in collaboration with Fred Miller (Ude Af Kontrol, Yakuza), Luke Alvin and Neeva.
