New album ‘LACERARE’ to be released on October 21st through Music-Records.
“Twisted Mist revisits the period of the Black Death with the delicacy and mastery of Eluveitie and the power of Gojira”
About 2 years after the release of ‘Orbios’ (2020, Music Records), French folk-metal duo Twisted Mist is about to give birth to a new full-length album called ‘LACERARE’ and planned for a CD & digital release on October 21st through Music-Records.
In the meantime, the band just shared a new single called “Le Linceulé”, available right now on YouTube while physical pre-orders are opened now on the label’s webstore.
For the record
Twisted Mist is a French Pagan Folk Metal band founded in 2014 in Reims. with Olivier and Nicolas, both studio musicians. With inspirations such as traditional medieval music such as pieces by Guillaume de Machaud, modern bands from the Folk scene such as Warduna, and Metal music from Eluveitie, Corvus Corax and Sepultura, the band’s ambition is to merge genres by infusing them with a signature.
A collection of traditional instruments, including the hurdy-gurdy, the bombarde, the bouzouki, the lyre, a diatonic bone flute and medieval percussion, allows passionate musicians to perform their tracks and give recordings an authentic, artisanal sound.
In 2020, after two years of preparation, Twisted Mist released an album called ‘Orbios’, – their most successful musical project and well-received album to date – in cooperation with the Music-Records label.
2 years later, Twisted Mist returns with the new album ‘LACERARE’, darker, more powerful and more aggressive, taking us on a journey and testifying to the black plague falling on Europe.
