The Copenhagen-based indie supergroup celebrates the amazing yet frightening feeling of falling in love. ‘I’m In Love’ drops independently today, Friday October 11th
Sylvester Zabello and Mingus Runge introduced their wonky pop universe this Spring with wobbly synths and a funky reggae feel on ‘Foreigner’. Finally, back to embrace the Autumn of 2024 with new sounds, Clean Out Louis returns with a charming bop to love.
“’I’m In Love’ is a song about new love and the lack of courage to act on it. It’s about all the things you could be with this person, if you’d only dare. But out of fear of what might go wrong, the relationship doesn’t move forward. It’s a naïve and contradictory approach to the subject, however, written with optimism even though love remains a fantasy,” the duo says, talking about ‘I’m In Love’.
Clean Out Louis is a Copenhagen-based indie supergroup. Despite their young age of 23, the two-piece has already been making their own waves: Sylvester as the guitarist of the alternative pop-act, Høker, while Mingus was the drummer of Bo Madsen of Mew’s widely renowned indie-kids orchestra, Turbolens.
Clean Out Louis made their debut this Spring with the release of ‘Foreigner’ – and it didn’t go unnoticed. ‘Foreigner’ was supported by the likes of COLORS and Ones To Watch while Office Magazine hosted the premiere of the nightmare-scenario music video. In their home country, leading music magazine GAFFA even compared Clean Out Louis to legends such as Stereo MC’s and Gorillaz.
