Hailing from Mount Maunganui, Dead Empire has established itself as a formidable force in the New Zealand rock scene. Their unique approach to progressive rock earned them 3rd place in the Battle of the Bands New Zealand competition and garnered Best Drummer awards for Matt Ruddell in 2020 and 2022. The band has spent considerable time honing their sound in the studio with celebrated producer Nathan Sowter of Link Flamingo, who is known for his work with Sophie Maude, Blindspott, and Deadbeat.
With 17 gigs already completed this year and more on the horizon, Dead Empire continues to captivate audiences with its high-energy performances and innovative sound. “Anger” is set to join their powerful discography.
