Carmie releases new single and annonceres upcoming EP

With ‘Talk To Me’, Aarhus-based artist Carmie delivers an intimate and heartfelt story of love and despair. The song captures the experience of standing helplessly by as a loved one battles depression, withdrawing from the world and seeking solace in self-destructive patterns. It’s a song about love that persists even as distance grows — a quiet frustration paired with an unwavering commitment to be there, even when it feels like there’s nothing left to do.

“I’ve been in that place where I couldn’t reach someone I deeply wanted to help. It’s a feeling of powerlessness, but also profound care — and that’s exactly the emotion I wanted to capture in this song”, says Carmie.

Musically, ‘Talk To Me’ evokes a strong sense of longing and vulnerability. With its simple melody and Carmie’s emotive, distinctive vocals, the song creates an intimate connection with the listener. It encapsulates the quiet yearning and deep care that come with being the one who listens and supports — when the opportunity arises. The song explores the complex interplay of love and helplessness, serving as a reminder never to give up on reaching out to those we care for.

A Call for Conversation
‘Talk To Me’
is both an invitation to open up and a reminder of the importance of reaching out, even when words seem insufficient. At a time when mental health issues are often overlooked, Carmie aims to shed light on the silent struggles many face — and the love inherent in holding onto each other through difficult times.

Part of the upcoming EP
‘Talk To Me’
is one of two new tracks featured on Carmie’s upcoming EP, which will combine both new and previously released songs. With powerful melodies and relatable lyrics, Carmie continues to establish herself as one of Denmark’s most exciting emerging voices — an accolade highlighted by GAFFA in their November ‘Artists to Watch’ feature.
