The lyrics are a tribute to all those who are always ready with emotional first aid when needed, but also to those who dare to say out loud that they need a shoulder to lean on every now and then, explains Andreas Ringblom, who has made a name for himself in the Danish media after leaving a career as a billion-streaming K-pop songwriter and producer in favor of his solo project ANDY ETC.
So far ANDY ETC. has released two singles and on March 1st he’s ready with another release – this time with his friend Luca Stereo, known for ‘I’m Down’, which was track of the week on the biggest Danish radio station P3 a few years ago.
“I think we complement each other well because we have very different personalities with a lot of mutual respect for each other as artists. I guess sometimes I need a little support from my girlfriend when my head is spinning and I sing about that in my verse. Luca’s verse delves into the feeling of finding some hidden strength when the person you’re with needs you. That’s also the dynamic we tried to convey in the music – for example by singing our verses very differently,” Andreas explains.
Luca Stereo fell in love with the song when he heard a snippet on an Instagram story: “I just had to be a part of it, I thought immediately. The energy and playful vibe just spoke to me, and luckily Andreas was on board with the idea of a feature”, he says.
