BIRDYTWICE turns heartbreak into community with ‘BROKEN HEARTS CLUB’

The new single from rising Danish pop artist BirdyTwice is sparked by the surreal realization that you might have a little too much in common with your partner’s exes. Been there? Then you’re welcomed into the ‘Broken Hearts Club’.

BirdyTwice is a new voice on the Nordic pop scene, where the sun spins like a disco ball in a vibrant, multicolored universe where life feels richer and more vivid, and emotions run free – because here, every bird sings with its own beak.

And BirdyTwice does just that, bringing raw honesty to the utterly charming ‘Broken Hearts Club’. With warm vintage vibes and irresistible pop hooks it transforms romantic chaos into connection and proves that when your heart breaks, you’re never alone.

“When my ex-boyfriend and I got together, I was surprised by how much I looked like his ex – like, eerily similar. I remember thinking, ‘Wow, you really have a type,’ and I quickly started to feel less special. Was I actually unique to him, or just another one? When we broke up, I suddenly felt this strong bond with his other exes. We had so much in common. The strangest part is that his new girlfriend looks like me too. And honestly, all I can say is: welcome to the club, girl,” she says.

BirdyTwice is the Copenhagen-based singer and musician Alberte Veirum Larsen. Her songwriting and creativity stem from a striking duality between her humble, laid-back roots in Northern Jutland, Denmark, and a fearless energy driven by values like freedom, courage, and hope. Alberte explains:

“I believe everyone contains multiple sides. Personally, I love unfolding all of them – the bitter and the sweet, the beautiful and the ugly. In many ways, I see my music as a kind of imaginary birdhouse where anyone can ‘move in’, sing along, find themselves in the music, the emotions, and the sense of community – and, most importantly, be themselves.”

‘Broken Hearts Club’ is the first release in a “Heartbreak Era” from BirdyTwice. Much more is on the way in 2026.
